This compilation CD set includes outtakes of songs that would be on Kool & The Gang's albums. "Stratosphere" ("Higher Plane" from "Light of Worlds") and "Sweetness" ("Sugar" from "Love & Understanding") are two examples of this. Many of the songs also don't have the signature horns that Kool and Gang were known for during their funky years. Still recommend it for fans of their funk music.
